My best friend Edwin has been spending his last days in Paris burning through as much black and white film as possible. Seeing his lovely new photos
(here) has inspired my to share some of my own. We start close to home and then continue on to Paris.

I'm pretty sure I took this snap of Sproul well before I knew I was going to be a Golden Bear. The below pics were taken on my first trip to France in 2004. I accidentally used color film on one roll, but insisted on developing it in class using the black and white process with a like a million filters. I think they came out looking old fashioned which goes well with the subject matter.
