Red Carpet Rundown: Cannes

As per usual, The Cannes Film Festival has given us couture watchers plenty of lovely dresses to admire.  I feel like I should have commentary on the movies, but I'll save that for once I see them. Here are a few of my favorites. If you want to see more, check out Harper's Bazaar's slideshow.

Rachel McAdams pant and sparkly bustier ensemble is a nice alternative to a dress. Her Brigitte Bardot inspired hair is a cute homage to French cinema at Cannes.

Tilda Swinton always brings it, and whether you like whatever it is or not, the woman is perfect for couture. I love the draping on this one.

My favorite from the Red Carpet so far is Chinese actress Fan Bing Bing, who's there to promote her new World War II drama, My Way.  Her pale skin and beautiful dark hair look so great with her bold, colorful gowns with full skirts.

Another favorite new Red Carpet standout was Mia Wasikowska in Valentino. We've already seen Miss Mia as Mark Zuckerberg's girlfriend in the beginning of The Social Network, and she will soon be appearing as the lead in the American remake of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.  If you haven't seen or read the Swedish original, get on that. I love her style, it's so classic and intelligent.

Our trip to Cannes was a little less glamorous, but still gorgeous.
