Style Icon: Buster Bluth

Buster Bluth's style is all about the bold colors and preppy patterns: stripes, argyles, and plaids. And he's not afraid to make a statement by layering them together. You shouldn't be either.

And just because you're already wearing two types of stripes, it doesn't mean you can't wear an argyle sock as well!
In this action shot, another look Buster's two tone Oxfords.

Here's a ladies outfit I created inspired by Buster. The argyle sweater and pastel colored khakis are Buster staples. I included two striped bag choices, one backpack ideal if you're a scholar like Buster, or a clutch just for essentials.  Glasses are important if you're legally blind at night like Buster, these are clear so you'd have to ad your prescription. Just make sure not to fail your eye exam like George Michael. Finally, Buster often wears a pair of classic two-tone wingtip oxfords, these floral ones add another layer of preppy pattern. The outfit would be complete with the wingtips worn sockless with the cropped legs rolled up.

This second summer outfit also incorporates a stripe that Buster would wear in a shirt or pants in the form of this great shirt dress. Retro extras add pops of color, and those little brogues echo Buster's dress shoe of choice. The Yacht necklace is a tribute to Buster's second greatest fear, the ocean.
