Arrested Fashion: Bluth Wedding Style

The Bluths love a family gathering. And what family gathering is more important than a wedding. They step up their style appropriately.

George Michael & Maeby's Fake Wedding at the Hospital for the Alzheimer's patients:

After the jump, George Senior and Lucille renew their vows, and the whole family comes together to throw Michael and Rita a surprise wedding!

Happy Fourth of July!

A few patriotic images from my favorite fictional family of loyal Americans:

Lucille and Baby Buster at Motherboy II
Also celebrating the Bicentennial: George Senior in 1976.

"Oh, Reggie, fighting for your country. You're such a pussy."

"It's all regulation, Michael. To get the top right, the pants had to be a little snug."

Arrested Fashion: Made in the Shade

When you live in the OC ("Don't Call it that!"), sunglasses are essential. As a convertible driver in California, I feel the same way. Arrested Fashion: Oilcloth!

While working on my Arrested Fashion project, I stumbled upon an oilcloth! George Senior walks by  two gentleman are enjoying their cervezas on a table with a lovely green oilcloth.  Nothing says south-of-the border set dressing like a vibrant oilcloth! Where does all this oilcloth enthusiasm come from? Well our friends over at Oilcloth International, of course. Check out their blog!

George Senior, in "Good Grief"

Below's a pic of my adorable gifted oilcloth (from the aforementioned bloggers). It went perfectly with the Little Miss Sunshine poster and vintage chairs at our Ward Street apartment in Berkeley.

Arrested Fashion: Robes & Slippies

"I don't want you thinking your uncle is some sleazy character from the docks"
On Arrested Development, robes of all stripes are featured prominently on both men and women. Silk, terry cloth, kimono style, they're all there. A life of leisure requires an extensive robe wardrobe.

After the jump, my Bluth family robe photo essay!
Oscar
Three great Bluth robes! If you look closely, you can see that Lucille is wearing Buster's truck print robe.
Buster in a striped robe, Oscar in a hippy tunic.
As always, Michael is the sensible one, right down to the robe
Tobias getting ready for the Boat Party at the Four Seasons
Gob in Lucille II's robe and slippies.
"BEES?!?"
"Let's get his pants back on."

Sleeping in the Copy Room in his "Singapore Air" Robe
"8:01, curtain has risen." Tobias on stand-by as a Blue Man Group understudy.
George Sr. hiding in the attic in terry cloth.
Tobias breaking into "blind" prosecutor Maggie Lizer's house, wearing her robe.
Again, masking himself in Maggie's scent.
"Mama's letting loose."
Lucille 2 in her feathered floral robe, steadying her vertigo on her ship's wheel. I love her randomly nautical apartment.
